it’s really weird how all the touted historical examples of “women” who “pretended” to be men seem to fall into two extremes:
1. women who did it for maybe a couple years at most on an extremely limited basis and usually not full time, died as women.
2. people who were men 100% of the time their whole adult lives and made explicit instructions to a trusted person to ensure they were remembered as a man even after death.
gee it’s almost like these two groups were totally separate and have completely different motivations or something. almost like it’s super obvious the 2nd category were all trans men and the only reason they aren’t remembered as men is due to transphobia.
Older men don’t date younger women despite their age and youth, older men date younger women for their age and youth. I know it can feel good when an older men acts like you’re special and above everyone else, and that you have some special maturity that no other woman your age has. Those are lies. An older man dating a younger woman isn’t special or exclusive. It’s extremely common. In fact, on average, men tend to see women at their peak in their early 20s and start seeing them as more and more expired as they age.
Another thing with this chart, 20 is the youngest option that could have been selected in the survey.

I also always love seeing adult lesbians in yuri/anime in general. We even get to see them living together and kissing!
Sayaka is told by her middle school girlfriend their feelings are just a phase. She’s crushed and eventually tries to convince herself its true. But then she sees adult lesbians in a happy relationship, definitive proof its not true. And she’s able to confide in this adult, discuss her feelings of liking girls and see hope for her own future. What he’s asking is a leading question and sure, taking his ‘how can you say that’ out of context works well to make him seem like he supports Trump but that’s not how it was said in the interview. How it was said was to get her to continue to talk about why Trump is a racist

She then goes on to ELABORATE on how he uses dogwhistles and his reaction to Charlottesville (by calling Nazi’s fine people) so people who tune in to the interview can draw connections to what she’s saying as opposed to just reacting, like op did, to the exact words that are said.
I think too many people on here fail to realize that news, real news, isn’t done by just saying shit. You have to be able to back it up and in order to do so, you need to be able to spell something out for people who don’t get it. And someone who already has been criticized by people for her views (including by people on here, bizarrely, because they keep things she’s said out of context) need to be able to get all the information out there.
“Getting to the truth” journalism isn’t just pelting known liars with hard questions and fact checking, it’s also giving a platform for the people who need to be heard, giving them openings to say their piece, and, when needed, urging them to elaborate.
